Buildings are the pieces that turn your plot into a traversable Backrooms maze. Roblox officially says players collect cool buildings for more cash and build a maze that people enter. The official beginner-bundle product names Empty Room and Flick Corridor, giving this guide two verified entity names. It does not provide the complete catalog, dimensions, connectors, prices, or income effects.
This hub treats a building as useful when it has a route job: extend the main path, turn or connect it, create a branch, establish a room for a monster encounter, or improve exploration. A piece does not become “best” because it appears in a Robux bundle or a creator’s large maze. Its value depends on your current route, inventory, cash, and live placement rules.

Building List
A currently documented index with Empty Room and Flick Corridor, explicit source status, and unknown fields left blank.
Empty Room
Verify ownership, inspect its current connectors, define a room job, and test player and visitor traversal before building around it.
Flick Corridor
Use the officially named corridor as a live-tested route piece without assuming length, lighting behavior, or an income bonus from its name.
Building Placement
Follow a preview-align-confirm-walk cycle and diagnose ownership, collision, rotation, connector, and cash problems.
Read a building as a route piece
Start with visible openings and the current placement preview. A building must connect to the endpoint you intend to extend. Its name may suggest a room or corridor, but only the live model reveals the number and orientation of usable connections.
Give the piece one purpose before confirming it. A straight continuation makes the route readable. A turn redirects it. A room can serve as a landmark or encounter space. A branch creates choice. A connector can repair two zones. This purpose lets you judge whether the placement worked after visitors enter.
Walk every opening after placement. A model can look connected from the editor camera while collision or connector logic prevents travel. Test from both sides before attaching another piece.
Maintain a currently documented index
Empty Room and Flick Corridor are named in the official product 3000 Cash + Smiler + Empty Room + Flick Corridor. That proves bundle inclusion at the checkpoint. It does not prove that the pieces are paid-only, exclusive, free, rare, permanent, or the only buildings available.
The official description uses plural “buildings,” so the live collection can be broader. Add another index entry only after the exact name appears in the verified game or a current detailed source tied to Universe 10376944238. Record whether the entry is owned, purchasable, locked, or only previewed.
Do not import generic Backrooms level names or structures from another game. A familiar room concept is not evidence that Build Your Backrooms contains a corresponding collectible piece.
Place buildings without compounding errors
Walk to one known endpoint. Open the building interface, read ownership and cost, select a piece, align visible connectors, rotate with current device controls, and confirm only when the preview is valid. Exit the editor and traverse the new segment.
Observe visitors after player traversal passes. If people do not reach the piece, check the preceding route before blaming the building. Keep monsters fixed during the route test. This one-change method is slower than placing a chain blindly but faster than dismantling a large unknown failure.
Use Maze Builder for the structural cycle and Building Placement for detailed error recovery.
Compare rooms and corridors by job
A room can create a recognizable zone, give a branch a destination, or provide visible space for a monster encounter. Its drawbacks are connector complexity and the temptation to attach several routes before testing. A corridor can produce a clear travel line and separate rooms, while a very long linear route can become repetitive or expensive to extend.
Neither category is officially stronger. Choose a room when the maze needs a destination or encounter space. Choose a corridor when it needs clear continuity or separation. Use the exact model and current visitors to decide, not the product name alone.
Combine pieces gradually. A tested corridor-to-room transition is a reliable module. A room with three untested exits is a repair project waiting to happen.
Connect buildings to monster placement
Build the route first, then observe people, then place a monster. A room may appear ideal for an encounter, but it provides no value if visitors never enter it. A corridor may offer a clear position, but current valid-placement rules and monster behavior determine whether the idea works.
Keep the building fixed when comparing monster positions. Keep the monster fixed when comparing route changes. This distinction prevents a failed catch from being misdiagnosed as a bad building.
For the next step, use Monster Placement and Visitor Routes.
Spend cash with a building plan
Check current in-game cost and ownership before every purchase. The official description connects collecting buildings with more cash, but it does not publish a direct earnings value for each piece. Do not assume an expensive building pays for itself faster.
Buy the piece that solves a named bottleneck and keep a correction reserve. If the maze is disconnected, repair it. If the route is short but stable, extend it. If visitors avoid a branch, test the connector before purchasing a larger room. If cash is limited, use the F2P Guide and Cash Guide.
Recover a bad building change
Stop expanding and return to the entrance. Walk to the last known working connector. Inspect the newest piece’s rotation, position, openings, and collision. Use the game’s current move, store, cancel, sell, or delete options only when their result is clearly stated; public sources do not establish refund behavior.
Restore one connected route and observe visitors before reintroducing the branch or room. A smaller working maze preserves progression better than a large design whose failure point is unknown.
Building FAQ
What buildings are confirmed?
Empty Room and Flick Corridor are the currently documented official names. The live game can contain more.
Which building earns the most cash?
No current official source publishes per-building income. Compare live results without assigning a fake rate.
Can buildings be moved or sold?
Check the selected piece’s current controls and confirmation text. No universal move, storage, or refund rule is asserted here.
Should I buy the beginner bundle for its buildings?
It is optional. Verify the current Roblox price, ownership terms, and whether your maze actually needs those pieces before purchasing.
